When COVID forced everyone indoors, our in-house digital team swiftly rose to the challenge. JES digital experts created a wide variety of online resources to ensure that justice education remained accessible to all.

One of their most exciting creations was JESed—an online learning platform that offers expert-led professional development courses for professionals in the justice sector.

JESed was designed using Open EdX, an open source learning management system created by educators and scientists at Harvard and MIT. Our diverse range of courses incorporated a blended learning approach, combining self-directed learning modules with live training sessions from leading justice experts to help participants put concepts into practice. The courses were produced in multiple languages, based on user needs. Participants also had the opportunity to engage in collaborative work with their peers and solve scenarios that they may encounter in their professional lives.
